We like the grate and heat exchanger. It quickly adds warmth to the home and to our living space. The design is compact and easy to move.

Thee are 3 elements of the product that cause me concern:
1. The plastic fan and housing, while they stay cool when they are in operation, are very vulnerable if the fireplace is closed to snuff out the fire.
2. The suggestion that if needed the fan can be removed from the unit is impractical. If the screws were replaced with thumbscrews, this could be done much easier.
3. When I have removed the unit to clean the fireplace, the plug to the fan has become detached. When plugging it back in, I have discovered the prongs on the fan are very light weight and subject to bending. This connection should be strengthened.

Overall this is a very good unit and I have recommended it to friends.

This was a good purchase. We used it for a couple of months, then heating season was over. I wished I had found your company sooner. Looking forward to a full season of use. Item works exactly as expected, fit and finish were great.
