After a lot of research and a million questions to Hasty Heat and other companies, I finally decided on the 3Q exchanger. They manufactured this unit with specifications of the size of my firebox and the size of the doors. It was a perfect fit. It looks as if the doors and heater are one unit. It generates the heat also. I have turned my central heating unit off for three days and only used my fireplace. Temps have been running upper 30’s and low 40’s. I am in a t shirt and shorts and am very comfortable. Hasty Heat was very patient with me and also very honest. They actually down sold me to a unit they said would work better with the size of my fire box. They easily could have sold me the larger unit I originally enquired about. This is going to save me money on fuel costs.
