Customer Reviews
We bought the Hast Heat Exchanger a few years ago and wanted to upgrade the 3 orion fans to the newer 3 VFP 3 fan pack with speed control. BIG DIFFERENCE, fans are more efficient moving air and a lot quieter, the speed control allows for adjustment of Heat output !
My wife uses the Heat Exchanger exclusively as our primary heat source during the winter months here in Louisiana which drops our electric bill from the high 300$ in the summer to around 100$ in the winter. Can't go wrong with a purchased Hasty Heat Exchanger .
Thank you for the review!
However, we do want to caution against using the speed controller to adjust the heat output. Though its fine to use it to control noise level as needed, it should be ran at full speed as often as possible. The fans play an active role in protecting not only themselves, but the heat exchanger as well. The forced air prevents the steel from overheating to the point of burn through. So when the fire is too hot is when its most important to have the fans at full speed. best way to control heat output is to build smaller fires.
